Consumer dispute resolution
I am neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
(Note: The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform was permanently discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is therefore no longer referenced.)
Liability for content
As a service provider, I am responsible for my own content on these pages in accordance with general law (§ 7 (1) DDG). However, I am not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity (§§ 8–10 DDG). Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected. Liability in this respect is only possible from the point at which a concrete infringement of the law becomes known. Upon notification of such violations, I will remove the content immediately.
Liability for links
This website contains links to external third-party websites whose content I cannot influence. I therefore accept no liability for this external content. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. Linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking; no illegal content was identifiable at that time. Permanent monitoring of linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement. Upon notification of violations, I will remove such links immediately.
Copyright
All content on this website (graphics, audio, video and text) is protected by copyright. Any reproduction or use in other electronic or printed publications is not permitted without express consent. All information is provided without guarantee. Liability for damages arising from the use of the published content is excluded.
Privacy Policy
The protection of your personal data is important to me. This site can generally be used without providing personal data; where personal data is processed, this is done in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / Regulation (EU) 2016/679), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telecommunications-Digital-Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Nando Nkrumah
Meister-Ekkehart-Str. 9
50937 Köln

2. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: confirmation and access to your data (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)). To exercise any of these rights, contact me at the address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority for North Rhine-Westphalia is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (Düsseldorf).
3. Legal bases
Processing is based on: your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1)(b)), a legal obligation (Art. 6 (1)(c)), or a legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1)(f)), e.g. the secure and efficient operation of this website.
4. Server log files
When you visit this site, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, the sub-pages accessed, date and time of access, IP address, and the requesting internet service provider. This data is not merged with other sources and is processed solely to ensure correct delivery, stability and security of the site (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). It is stored separately from any personal data you provide and deleted after a short retention period.
5. Cookies & consent
This website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to enable certain functions and improve usability. Technically necessary cookies are set on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR and § 25 (2) TDDDG. All other cookies (e.g. for analytics or embedded media) are only set with your prior consent via the cookie banner (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). You can withdraw or change your consent at any time and delete stored cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some functions of the site.
6. Contact
If you contact me by email or via a contact form, the data you provide is stored solely to process your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (where related to a contract) or Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (general enquiries). This data is not passed on to third parties and is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with and no retention obligations apply.
7. Newsletter
You can subscribe to my newsletter using the form provided. I use the double opt-in procedure: after registering, you receive a confirmation email and your subscription only becomes active once you confirm it. I store your email address, plus the date, time and IP address of your registration as proof of consent. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time — every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link.
[Optional – keep only if used] The newsletter is sent via Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC, Atlanta, USA). Mailchimp uses your data to send and statistically analyse the newsletter, including web beacons that record whether and when an email was opened and which links were clicked. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place, and transfers to the USA are safeguarded by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and EU Standard Contractual Clauses (see section 11).
8. Online shop & payment
[Optional – keep only if used] If you place an order in my online shop, the personal data required to process it (e.g. name, address, email) is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR and shared only with the parties involved in fulfilling the contract (e.g. shipping and payment providers).
Payment via PayPal: If you choose PayPal, the data required for payment is transmitted to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg, for the purpose of payment processing and fraud prevention. By selecting this option you consent to this transfer (Art. 6 (1)(a) and (b) GDPR). PayPal's privacy terms: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full
9. Social media & embedded content
[Optional – keep only the platforms you actually embed] This site may contain links to or embedded components from third-party platforms. Where content is embedded, these providers may receive your IP address and information about the page you are visiting; if you are logged in to the relevant service, this can be linked to your account. Embedded content is only loaded with your prior consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, § 25 TDDDG).

To prevent data transfers, log out of the respective service before visiting this site.
10. Web analytics
[Optional – keep only if used] This website uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) with IP anonymization activated, so that your IP address is shortened within the EU/EEA before transmission. Analytics is used to evaluate visitor flows and improve the site, and is only activated with your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, § 25 TDDDG). You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
11. International data transfers
Some of the services above may transfer data to the USA. Such transfers are safeguarded either by an EU–US Data Privacy Framework certification of the recipient (European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023) or, where this does not apply, by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR.
12. Data retention
Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfil the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods (e.g. tax law). Once the purpose ceases and no retention obligation applies, the data is routinely deleted.
13. Automated decision-making
I do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
14. Changes to this policy
I may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in the law or in my services. The current version always applies.
